Vistaria, Desa Millennia Puchong
We first heard of this place some years back when one of our friends bought an apartment in the nearby Vista Millennium Condominiums, developed by the same corporation. At that time, the place was quite empty, with very few new projects.

At the moment the place is a hive of activity, with numerous projects ongoing and forthcoming. Desa Millennia is actually just next to the existing Puchong Perdana, a very old township built in the earlier 90’s. This place shares the location perks and problems as the Desa Impiana development (read our review here and here) nearby, although Desa Impiana in Puchong Prima is slightly further inside.
Right now, the only access to Vistaria is via the Puchong Perdana interchange on the LDP, which is very congested in the evenings. There is another proposed interchange near Puchong Utama (near the Mobil) as part of the LDP upgrade package, but there it is still not set in stone. If the interchange is eventually built, it’ll benefit many of the developments here. There is another narrow access out to the LDP branch going to Putra Heights and USJ, but it traverses narrow lanes in a new village.
As part of the larger township, there are lakeside facilities, including jogging and cycling tracks, cafes, boating and fishing amenities.
In terms of location, of course this place cannot compete with Puchong Jaya or Bandar Puteri, so the developers have added in a very interesting and attractive furnishing package to entice the buyers.
Everything and anything (and we DO mean everything) you want to upgrade can be done so by the developer. So if you don’t want any hassle of waiting for 5 different contractors to fix small little things in your new apartment (we’re sure every new house owners understands that predicament), you can opt for their flexible packages, and bring your clothes and move in anytime. We’re talking package for living room furniture, dining set, cabinets, cooking hood, bedroom furnishing, curtain rail and track, fans, mirrors, plaster ceilings, cornices, and yes, even the kitchen sink! (Never mind if you don’t get the joke…)
As for facilities, it’s a little threadbare, with a swimming pool, hall, kindergarten, broadband access, and of course high security.
The layout of the typical unit is, as they call it, typical. Three bedrooms, but with 2 detached baths. It means there are no master bedrooms and no attach baths. Looks like their targeting young workers and student renters. There is a Guaranteed Rental Return scheme by the developer to reel in the investors (check with the developer for more info).
The quality of the finishing is quite minimum, given the affordability.
We like the attractive upgrade package, and the competitive pricing. Prices start from RM72k for basic unit, RM138k for a furnished one.

the best place is to visit their sales office or call the number given above, they can provide you with all the details.

Is this a service apartment or a normal one? Isn’t Guaranteed Rental Return normally for service apartments?
Comment by David — November 10, 2005 @ 6:31 am
it’s a normal apartment on residential land, if that’s what you mean. I think the Guaranteed Rental Return Scheme is a way to encourage investors to pick up the units.

I just concern about the land structure, as the part of the lake will be fill up to build this apartment. Any idea this is a mining lake or natural lake?
Comment by Siput — December 6, 2005 @ 8:41 am
Hi, is anybody know the background of this developer? So far what I know is this developer is quite new. That is the mining lake not natural lake. Is this apartment worth to buy?
Comment by Girl — December 16, 2005 @ 4:19 pm
I have viewed the apartment yesterday. It seems very attractive. And I like the lake view very much. But my friend told me it’s a mining lake. Would it be dangerous to stay there?
Comment by Ocean — February 5, 2006 @ 10:11 am
someone once told me it was a mining lake, but i’m not sure how true it is. If its a mining lake, the apartment should still be safe.

Just visit the show unit. Quite impressive with the fully furnich concept….one drawback…the bathroom….damm small…Anyway, salesperson mentioned that can move it by mid 2007 and they said all the renovation and furnishing will be ready by that time….Just curious, all the renovation and furnishing works will only be carried out after the handling of the key, right???So, the expected completion date printed on the broshure is refer to which term???Basic unit without fully furnish or fully furnish unit????

How i hope it can completed in Mid year 2007 as broucher and salesman mentioned btu finally not. How i hope the VP can ready by August and expect to be moved in b4 raya as KK mentioned but also not. I have called and they told me maybe can only move in mid Dec. Saleman also committed to me that there are few types of furniture can be choose but i only being told that it is fix and same to every unit. I really disappointed on their commitment.

Hi people,
According to the sales lady, we are going to get the key to the apartment in December but dun know whether that’s gonna happen or not. She also mentioned that the renovation will take roughly two months or so. Most probably can really move in, completely furnished at all, february 2008. Hope I can celebrate chinese new year in my new home. I hope I not the only eager beaver hahaha!
Comment by Augustine Chau — November 12, 2007 @ 9:34 pm
i dun think we can move after CNY (according to the salesperson)…. becoz there’s seems no improvement since my last visit on mid january….
Comment by cake — February 14, 2008 @ 12:22 pm
it’s rather disappointing if you ask me. I call before CNY and the told me that the place is actually done. Now have to wait for the CF. Need to get approval from the authorities to certify that the building is fit for us to stay. Fingers all cross. just hope that they get it done as soon as possible and pass us the keys end of feb 208. for those who opted for full furnishing like myself will have to wait another couple of months…what a headache. if i dun move in soon I’ll have to sleep on the road coz i dun want to renew my contract for another year….arrrggghhh! what can the buyers do… we need to bug the developer to pick up the pace…any solutions neighbours????
