The Edge Daily Website Down

Our number online source for Malaysian business and finance news, The Edge Daily, has been down since the weekend.

There was a notice a few days ago on the error message saying they were in the midst of an upgrade, but now the message is no longer there.

Anyone can shed some light on the website?

***

Incidentally, has anyone been reading the edge’s new daily edition? We stopped buying the weekly edition some years back due to the skyrocketing price…

  1. Yup. Quite frustrating that it is down for so long.
The administrator is really poor if they take so long to upgrade.

  2. It is not hard to connect the two facts. Fact 1 - The need to ensure the success of their new Edge Daily newspapers. Fact 2 - The Edge Daily website is down. Something is fishy.

  3. Yes everyone knows Edge website is down because the owners want people to buy their new daily newspaper, which costs a bomb at rm1.50 per copy!

  4. RM1.50 is just too much just to read biz news. The local section is just slightly better than the other daily newspapers whilst the overseas section is just not relevant to most readers. In summary, RM1.50 is just too expensive.

  5. now that you guys mentioned it, there seems to be some connection.

Man, i’ve to look elsewhere for my daily news now.

  7. obviously too blind to evil…the news on the website is two weeks’ old. you don’t understand how malaysians do business…

  8. They have not updated the website. Probably in line with earlier speculation that they are toning down the content to boost sales of their daily. No choice but to revert to info from other source.

  9. Guys, I share your sentiments. I was sort of suspicious just a while ago when I saw a colleague emailing me an article which he printed from the edge website! I did a quick google and I found the URL. If you’ve been accessing www.theedgedaily.com, chances are, you’ll get the “upgrading” message.

    So, head on to: http://203.115.192.58/cms/index.jsp

You can thank me by sending me sashimis! hahah :P
